In case you missed it because of the frigid weather, yesterday was the first day of Spring! And even though my allergies are killing me, I am pretty excited about that. With the exception of yesterday, it's been a pretty warm spring with record highs for March here in Nashville. However, do not be fooled! We have at least one more cold spell to go before warm sunny days are here to stay. Right now, we are in the middle of Dogwood Winter and after that will be Blackberry Winter. You can always tell when a spring cold spell will come when Dogwoods or Blackberries bloom. Cold spell or not, blackberry blooms mean blackberries so that's ok with me.

1. The promise that warm weather is on its way!
2. Green. Everywhere.
3. Flowers.
4. The feeling that the world is alive again.
5. Happy wildlife and pets!
6. Spring gardens.
7. Seeing the seeds you planted grow into cute little plants.
8. Bluebirds.
9. Only needing a light jacket.
10. The end of Daylight Savings Time.
11. Longer days.
12. Hearing birds sing out my window in the morning.
13. Having the windows open.
14. The smell of freshly cut grass.
15. Easter.
16. My Birthday! Which happens to be April 27th.
Hopefully it won't rain...like it does every year.

I absolutely love spring too! What plants are you currently growing in your greenhouse? I'm so thankful for Easter and the glorious reminder of Christ's resurrection! So Easter will most likely be on my top 16 favorite things about spring list, too.
