Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pancakes

You may have had chocolate chip pancakes before, but how about chocolate chip cookie dough pancakes? They really are the best ever.

Start with some pancake batter and some pre-made frozen chocolate chip cookie dough. I made mine ahead of time, wrapped it in plastic wrap, and put it in the freezer until it was ready. Cut your cookie dough into pieces and you're ready to go!

There are two ways to cook these:

1. Put all the cookie dough pieces in the batter at once and cook as usual like I did in the pictures above. If you choose to make them this way, make sure you cook your pancakes quickly so that the cookie dough doesn't defrost completely in the batter. I would suggest only doing this if you are making a small batch (I cut the pancake recipe in half).

2. Wait to add the cookie dough until you have scooped the batter into the pan, then add pieces of cookie dough to each pancake as it cooks, but before flipping it the first time.

Basic Pancakes
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk of your choice (almond, coconut, regular, goat...etc.)
2 tablespoons oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
